Had some time before the fam showed up for dinner tonight so I cruised around Oakland and Berkeley. New gear ratio and the ridiculous wind kicked my ass, but what the hell. At least it isn't raining like every other day I've been up here! HOLLA.

MELLOW MONDAY

Anthony (siqqmosh) hit me up to check out the Mellow Monday ride two Mondays back and I just got some photos back. MM is run by Ace (aboogie) and they roll from Capsole on Melrose every Monday. We did a legit route across Hollywood, K-Town, into Los Feliz and then back to DTLA. Props to Michael Maceda (aka Atomic Mike) for the photos. Good ride!

MACAFRAMA PREMIER

Great race and premier yesterday. Race results were a little jumbled due to some checkpoint staffing mix ups. Tone, Ian and Steve B (from Macaframa) collectively took first. Ziadie got second for getting lost, going back to O20 then going back up to Griffith to finish. BEAST. I got third...if I had found Kyle at the top I would have been right behind Tone and Ian. Oh well...race redo coming up in a few months!

The movie was great. Definitely lived up to the hype. A little over color-corrected at times but overall they did it right. Big ups to Colby, Colin and the whole Macaframa crew. Photos courtesy of von trapp via LAFixed.

Used my brothers bike for a couple shots to finish a final project for school. What I came up with for one shot.

COMMUTE THIS MORNING

This morning I decided to take a different route to Chinatown and I cruised Beverly to Temple all the way across town. The traffic was GNARLY past K-Town and there was cops and helicopters everywhere. I looked it up when I got here this morning and I found out it was because of a shooting early this morning and the 101 was shut down. Peep game:
