SHLA CENTURY III

So last night we did a really short ride (click map for gmaps link):
The whole idea and inspiration behind this century was to build off rides that we do every week and find the most efficient route to ride 100 miles in the greater Los Angeles area. To create the route I incorporated our original century, our second century, the Wolfpack century, the palisades route from VCR and various commutes and SHLA rides that we all do on a weekly basis. The crew consisted of me, Alex, Steven, Mike Bike, Colby and Hern riding fixed and MTB Steve and Ryan on road bikes (Mike's friend Tate also rode with us for the beginning section and Miguel started but opted out around mile 30...don't worry about it Miguel!).

In summary we ended up riding 101.5 miles in 6 hours 3 minutes with a max speed of 34mph according to the computer on Ryan's roadie. With proper training and dare I say...road bikes those numbers could be greatly improved. Altogether great night despite the thunder and lightning. Congratulations to everyone that finished (and smashed hella food at Norm's). We win! Photos here. Spokecard coming soon!
